Copenhagen

English
Message from Mayor of Health and Care

”Joining the Fast-Track Cities Network is an important step for Copenhagen towards achieving an ambitious goal – to stop new HIV infections. Together with AIDS-Fondet, other partners in Copenhagen, and more than 350 cities around the world, we will put tolerance, understanding, and acceptance before stigma, ignorance, and discrimination. Together we will eliminate HIV”.

Sisse Marie Welling
Mayor of Health and Care, Copenhagen
Message from the Head of Public Health

“The city of Copenhagen has shown a strong commitment to the fight against HIV, through supporting AIDS-Fondet’s Checkpoint in Copenhagen for the past 12 years. Checkpoint offers STI-testing and counselling for key populations at risk of acquiring HIV. Fast Track Cities is seen as an extension of Copenhagen Municipality’s pre-existing focus on HIV and efforts to eliminate new cases of HIV by 2030”.

Las Vegas

English
Message from the Governor

“Nevada is proud to join the global effort to combat HIV and be the first U.S. state represented on the Fast-Track HIV Dashboard. We are committed to reducing the impact of HIV and have employed the seven pillars of the initiative with the goal of ending this epidemic. Through early diagnosis, quick and effective treatment, protection for those at risk and rapid response we will be able to improve and protect the health of our citizens.”

Steve Sisolak

Message from the State Senator

“Ending the HIV epidemic is a goal shared by every leader in the state of Nevada. That’s why we’re taking significant steps to treat HIV as a public health issue, not a crime, improve the lives of those living with HIV, and expanding HIV testing so every Nevadan knows their status. Together, we can reach the goal of ending HIV by 2030.”

Phoenix Covid

English
Message from the Mayor

“Community spread is accelerating in Arizona at speeds that should concern everyone.  It will take the entire community coming together to protect all who live, work and play in our city.  Scientists say wearing a simple face covering is something we must do to slow the spread – and Phoenix is listening." Source  June 19, 2020

Amsterdam COVID

English
Message from the Mayor

“Let us work together to support those who have been affected by the virus, the elderly people who are not allowed to receive visitors, the people who are unsafe or lonely at home, and all those who fear losing their work or their business. We can only get through this crisis together. By relishing the small steps, by limiting ourselves, by postponing our longing for a return to our normal lives and by helping each other. It is down to all of us.” Source Date: May 3, 2020
